Scrap aluminum rims - worth anything

I have 6 or 7 junk aluminum rims. Anybody know what there are worth as scrap? I'm not sure if it's worth finding a place to take them to. Will they take them with tires on them?

    Thanks!

    $0.60 a pound, that's nearly $10 a rim.

For that money, I have another 4 or 5 that I will have to find a way to get the junk tires off and disposed of. Anywhere to get rid of old tires for free (besides the side of the road!)?

yeah i was gonna say....there are plenty of places over here on the southside that give upwards of $18 a rim without a tire on it. (less if you leave the tires on)...scrap/core prices are on a rise.
