for every one vid of a mustang beating an srt-4 there are 10 showing it the other way around.
WOW! a stock internal srt-4 with 500+ WHP with hundreds of dyno pulls & 1/4 mile passes pops the motor.
Its funny how a guy with a chicken sticker on his hood can poke fun at anyone.

id take a guess and say you own a dodge neon.
im not sure a 4 door 4 banger car with a name like neon is cooler than having a car named trans am or firebird with a decail of it. that is also just my opinion.
do neons really womp on mustangs 10:1?
just tryin to make this another 4000 page import vs domestic post.

Um... the SRT-4 is junk... end of story. Not only does it look like a piece of shit, it runs like one, handles like one, sounds like a fart...and if there were a toilet large enough.. would probably flush like one

Everyone I've ever seen, and the two I have been in that were "modded" were still crawling and taking turns on exit ramps like the one douche bag I rode with at a mere 10-15 over the posted ramp limit led to a hairy spin out...

I think that has something to do with the people driving it and not the cars themselves.
I will be the first to admit we have shitty stock suspensions, and when not modded right are actually slower than they were stock. Also they are indeed ugly and still neons.
But I give dodge props because the engine is quite amazing for what it is and for 20k I could not have picked a better daily driver.
People need to start hating on the idiots and not the cars themselves, makes them look really close minded. Also I've seen just as much stupid shit happen using RWD trans ams, camaros and mustangs as I have SRT-4's.
I am not being blind because I own one, before this I had a mustang.

At least you still understand it's still a Neon. But I would piss away a dollar and modding one. Have you seen any Neon over 5 years old? They're falling apart. For 20 grand, I would buy a lightly used car of a different make/model.

The mechanics of this car is not "neon" it's a different transmission, different engine.
I honestly did not buy this car for it's looks or even because it was the best performaing car on the road because it's not. I completely understand that. I've just sat back way too long hearing people generalizing about the people who drive the cars. I know most of the srt4 drivers in the chicagoland area and have traveled to many different states and met more. Yes there's a handful of douchebags that should not even consider being behind a wheel. Though for the most part most these guys are just like you and I and know that their car obviously does not have the potential of an 8 cylinder in any aspect.
Hell, some of the top placing one-lap cars were damn near stock performance srt-4's with nothing more than weight reductions and suspension work. I believe in one event they took two of the top 10 places.
It's just a car, give shit to the people driving them that are really idiots. There's tons of 11 second srt-4's in the chicagoland area. For you guys it's not that impressive, but for 30k on a fwd car they bought brand new, I don't think thats bad at all. It was their preference.

I do not own a Neon. I used to though. In fact I traded my 99 GT for it. You can't deny that they can go pretty quick for not too much loot.
No need for an import v. domestics since there is no import in this discussion.
